Switching to G Suite doesn’t mean you have to do away with your past documents. Microsoft® Word® and Adobe® PDFGo t are popular formats for your documents to be in. Want to switch them over to your Drive? Here’s how:
- Go to Drive.
- Click New > File upload and choose a text document with your computer. Supported file types include: .doc, .docx, .dot, .html, plain text (.txt), .odt, and .rtf.
- Right click the file you want converted and select Open with > Google Docs.
Even better? Converting your file from another program creates a copy of the original in your Google Drive. You can then edit it in your browser like any other Google Doc.
